HUBUNGAN FUTURE ANXIETY DENGAN PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING PADA MAHASISWA
Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between future anxiety and psychological well-being in students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program at Sriwijaya University. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research sample consisted of 80 students selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments had undergone validity and reliability tests before being used. Data analysis was carried out through normality and linearity tests as prerequisite tests, followed by a Pearson correlation test. The results of the study showed a significant negative relationship between future anxiety and psychological well-being. The results indicate that higher levels of future anxiety are associated with lower psychological well-being among students. This finding emphasizes the importance of maintaining future anxiety and strengthening psychological support for students to improve their psychological well-being.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara future anxiety dan psychological well-being pada mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 80 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas sebelum digunakan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas dan uji linearitas sebagai uji prasyarat, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara future anxiety dan psychological well-being. Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan masa depan mahasiswa, maka semakin rendah tingkat kesejahteraan psikologisnya. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan kecemasan masa depan serta penguatan dukungan psikologis bagi mahasiswa guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis mereka.
