Abstract


Prairie Style adalah gaya arsitektur yang muncul pada awal abad ke-20 dan terkait erat dengan Midwest Amerika. Gaya ini dikembangkan oleh arsitek Frank Lloyd Wright, yang percaya bahwa bangunan harus dirancang agar selaras dengan alam sekitarnya. Penggunaan bahan alami, seperti batu, batu bata, dan kayu, juga merupakan ciri utama gaya ini. Salah satu elemen yang paling khas dari arsitektur Prairie Style adalah penggunaan atap yang panjang (kantilever) yang menciptakan ruang terbuka yang terlindung dan membantu mengurangi massa visual bangunan.
