Abstract


Abstract: Learning is said to be successful if students are able to recognize the interrelations of elements in the object or event. Lessons that support the thematic learning. But the fact Is the teachers still have difficulties in relating between concepts in intra and between lessons that ended in the lack of understanding of students. One of the successes in learning is the use of learning media to help improve students' understanding. The effect teachers are required to be creative and innovate in creating and using media. The media that can be used is a thematic pop-up medium that can help teachers to link or connect between concepts of lessons. The purpose of this study is to determine the use of thematic-based pop-up media effectively in improving student learning outcomes. This research approach using quantitative approach with quasi experimental method where the subject in this research is the fourth grader of elementary school. The result of this research is that there is a significant improvement of usage of thematic pop-up media in improving student learning outcomes. So that the use of thematic-based pop-up media is effective in improving the outcomes of fourth students of Elementary School.
