PENERAPAN METODE SAS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS I SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Abstract: This research is based on the low beginning writing skill of the first grade students of elementary school in Bandung. This is because the method of learning used by teachers is less train students to do writing activities starters. This study aims to describe the application of SAS (Structural Analytic Synthesis) method to improve the beginning writing skill of the first grade students of Elementary School in Bandung. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) Kemmis and Taggart model. The subject of the research is the first grade students of elementary school in Bandung with 34 students. This PTK data collection tool consists of observation sheets of teacher and student activities, field notes and documentation. This PTK is performed in III cycles. The results showed that in cycle I, the average score of beginning writing skill was 65.5 and the percentage of students completeness was 44%. In cycle II the average value of initial beginning writing skill increased to 71.5 and the percentage of mastery of students learning by 67%. In cycle III, the average score of students beginning writing skill continues to increase to 74.3 and the percentage of students learning mastery also increases to 85%. This means that the application of SAS method can improve the beginning writing skill of the first grade students of Elementary School in Bandung.
