PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEDISIPLINAN BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The research was motivated by the low discipline of learning in grade 3rdstudents in on of elementary school in Bandung city. This happens because the teacherstill use a teacher-centered learning model. So from that, it is necessary to make effortsto make improve student learning discipline by applying the contextual approach. Thisstudy aims to describe the application Of contextual approaches to improve learningdiscipline in grade 3rdelementary school students. The method that used in this researchwas Classroom Action Reasearch (CAR) adapted from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart.Including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection which is implementedthrough 2 cycles. The subjects of research were 26 students. The results of the studyindicate an increase in the average discipline of student learning in each cycle. Thepretest result the average student learning discipline is 68%, then in cycle 1 it increasesto 78%, and in cycle 2 it increases to 85%. The increases of average student disciplinelearning from pretest to cycle 2 by 17%. Based on these data it can be concluded that theapplication of contextual approaches can improve the learning discipline of grade 3rdstudents in elementary school.
