PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN CTL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract


The research background is the problem of students in fifth grade elementaryschool. The problem is the low student learning activity because the teacher only usethe lecture method and the provision of individual task. Teacher-centered learning thatlead to student not fully engaged in the learning process so that the impact on studentlearning outcomes. The purpose of this research to describe the application of CTLapproach to increase stundets activity and learning outcome. The research methode isclassroom action research type Kemmis and Mc Taggart including planning,implementation, observation and reflection which is implemented through two cycles.The subjects of reseach were 34 students in V-B SDN S Bandung. Data collectedthrough observation of student activity sheets and post-test in quantitative andqualitative analysis. The anaysis data indicates that an increase in the percentage ofstudent learning activities from the first cycle to the second cycle criteria are both veryactive. In addition, post-test results showed that an increase in the percentage ofstudents learning results from the firt cycle to the second of sufficient criteria (C) to begood (B). It is concluded that the CTL approach can improve the fifth grade students ofactivities and learning outcomes.
