PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEAD TOGETHER (NHT) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The background of the research is the low learning outcomes of students in class III in one of the SDN in Bandung. The reason is, in learning students tend to listen, and write what is conveyed by the teacher without understanding the material before. This research aims to describe the implementation, and student learning outcomes by applied the cooperative learning NHT type. The method of this research is the classroom action research method, adapted from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. In this study carried out with two cycles. The participants of this study were grade III elementary school students, with 18 students. The research instrument used by the observation sheet to applied the cooperative learning model NHT type and evaluation sheet to find out student learning outcomes. All data obtained is analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study show 1) the implementation of learning using the cooperative learning model NHT type, 2) the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle the acquisition of the average grade value is 68 and the percentage of learning completeness is 50%. Increased in the second cycle the class average value is 80 and the percentage of learning completeness is 89%. From the implementation of the first cycle and the second cycle, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning NHT type, can improve student learning outcomes.
