PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SQ3R UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Abstract: The research is based by the low reading comprehension skills of student in 4th grade elementary school in Bandung. This is because learning does not provide an opportunity for students to understand a reading correctly. The research aims to describe the implementation of the SQ3R learning model to improve reading skills in 4th grade students understanding of elemtary school. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) with Kemmis and Taggart research models conducted in 2 cycles. Participants in this study were 4th grade students in one of the elementary schools in Kec. Coblong city of Bandung with 32 students. Data collection techniques used were observation, tests and field notes. The research instrument used was the observation sheet, test question and field notes. The result of this research indicate that students reading comprehension skills reached 56% in cycle I, and increased to 87,5% in cycle II. This proves that the implementation of the SQ3R learning model can improve students reading comprehension skills in grade 4th elementary school in Bandung.
