PENERAPAN METODE GUIDED READING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN SISWA SEKOLAHDASAR
Abstract
Reading comprehension ability is one of the success factors in learning process. The ability of reading comprehension need to be possessed by every student. But, in fact there are still many students who don’t have the ability to reading comprehension properly. The research to describe the planning, process, and improvement of reading comprehension ability by applying the guided reading method. The research method used the class action research method, by adapting the Kemmis & Taggart research model which was carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were class V students from one of the elementary school in Bandung city the academic year 2018/2019 with a total of 24 students. The study was carried out by applying the steps of the guided reading method. Indicators of reading comprehension of this research are determining key ideas, identifying fact, answering questions, interpreting vocabulary, and retelling. The data from the research results of tge guided reading method showed the results of an increase in reading comprehension ability. In cycle I the completeness of learning to reading comprehension ability students was 75% and increased to 92% in cycle II.
