Abstract

The low interest in learning arts and crafts (SBdP) in grade VI Elementary School students has resulted in the failure to achieve conducive learning. The learning methods that are often used in the learning process are still monotonous which makes elementary school students tend to get bored following SBdP learning. Meanwhile, in this lesson students are required to be able to explore creative and innovative ideas in order to create a work that is beautiful, interesting and can generate high selling points. The purpose of this research is none other than to increase the interest and learning outcomes of elementary school students in SBdP learning through the Student Created Case Study method. The research method used is qualitative where the researcher examines theory, makes observations and makes direct observations so that the research can be accurate and relevant to the problem, then the researcher analyzes and examines the data up to the stage of interpreting it into a conclusion. The Student Created Case Studies method can be used as an alternative in teaching SBdP learning in elementary schools which in implication uses cooperative strategies that involve students actively participating in the learning process so that students can be motivated and enthusiastic about participating in class learning.
