ANALYSIS OF FRICTION COEFFICIENT AND CLUTCH HEAT ABSORPTION IN KF-40 TYPE VEHICLE
Abstract
The clutch system performance is strongly influenced by the friction coefficient, heat absorption capability, and service life of the clutch components. Therefore, these parameters must be evaluated to ensure transmission reliability. This study aimed to analyze the friction coefficient, heat absorption, and estimated service life of the clutch system in a KF-40 type vehicle. A quantitative method with an experimental approach was employed through technical parameter measurements, theoretical calculations based on vehicle specifications, and empirical testing under both level-road and uphill operating conditions. The results showed that the clutch friction coefficient was 0.17, indicating sufficient frictional performance for effective torque transmission under normal operating conditions. The clutch operating suhue due to heat absorption reached 255.48°C, indicating a relatively high thermal condition while remaining within the operating capability of organic friction lining materials. The estimated service life of the clutch disc was approximately 1.1 years under normal vehicle operation. This study provides technical insights for evaluating and improving the performance and reliability of the KF-40 clutch system.
