PERANAN KOMIK SAINTIFIK TERHADAP PENINGKATAN BERFIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to find out the role of saintific comic to increase 5th grader’s critical thinking. This research is based on comic which we found alot in our society, but not all comics are suit to elementary student’s character. Saintific comic trains student’s critical thinking by focus on 5M process. The location of this research is in Desa Cileunyi Wetan, Kecamatan Cileunyi, at SDN Cintaasih 01 and SDN Cintaasih 02. This research is a quasi-experiment with the nonequivalent control group design. This research uses critical thinking test and questionnaire also interview for non test instrument. The result of this research that is gained are first, saintific comic’s role at increasing student’s critical thinking in experiment class belong to low category. Second, conventional media’s role at increasing student’s critical thinking in control class also belongs to low category. Third, the difference of learning process between experiment class that uses saintific comic is not better significantly than conventional media in control class to increase critical thinking skill.
