Orientasi Slum Tourism Jakarta Hidden Tour sebagai Praktik Kosmopolitanisme

Abstract


Saat ini tren pariwisata dikonstruksikan sebagai salah satu praktik yang memiliki kontribusi terhadap pembangunan dan pengembangan masyarakat. Pariwisata kumuh hadir sebagai praktik pariwisata yang dipandang sebagai opsi yang lebih baik untuk berkontribusi terhadap pembangunan dan memerangi ketidaksetaraan hingga kemiskinan global. Penelitian ini berfokus membahas perspektif pariwisata kumuh Jakarta Hidden Tour dalam menegosiasikan isu kemiskinan, dengan menjadikan tanggung jawab komunitas global serta strategi dalam memanfaatkan pariwisata kumuh sebagai praktik kosmopolitanisme. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus, dan penggunaan teknik wawancara dan observasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perspektif Jakarta Hidden Tour menciptakan praktik slum tourism sebagai rekonstruksi pemikiran dimana mempertemukan penduduk lokal dan wisatawan, untuk menghasilkan perkembangan sosial dan budaya bagi masyarakat kumuh Kampung Luar Batang. Jakarta Hidden Tour mengembangkan praktik pariwisata kumuh yang memperjuangkan hak keadilan (cosmopolitan right), sebagai suatu refleksi tentang kesadaran moral dan keterlibatan menyangkut hak kewarganegaraan.
