Model Pembelajaran Anak Tunagrahita (Intellectual Disability) Melalui Pendekatan Konseling (Penelitian Tindakan Kolaboratif dalam Upaya mengembangkan Anak Tunagrahita Mencapai Perkembangan Optimum)

Abstract


Penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan yang dirasakan oleh guru di sekolah bahwa pembelajaran pada anak tunagrahita masih belum efektif dan pekembangan anak belum optimal. Bertolak dari masalah itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaranyang dapat mengembangankan anak tunagrahita mencapai perkembangan optimum. Metode yang digunakan adalah collaborative action research. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa model ini berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan yang dicapai oleh anak tunagrahita dan yang paling penting berdampak kepada guru. Guru menjadi lebih terbuka dan reflektif, pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru menjadi lebih terpusat pada anak. Selain itu penerapan model ini berdampak pula pada peningkatan motivasi belajar anak, tumbuh rasa percaya diri, pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan bagi anak tunagrahita.
