Post-Production of Profile Video Teaching Factory Sustainable Coffee and Traceability At IPB Vocational School

Abstract


The Teaching Factory Coffee of IPB Vocational School is an industry-based learning environment that focuses on coffee processing from upstream to downstream stages. To support the institution’s information and promotional media, a profile video is needed to deliver information in a communicative and engaging manner through an audiovisual approach. This study applies the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method in the post-production process of a profile video through the stages of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution, thereby creating a more structured and systematic post-production workflow. The editing process employs a non-linear editing approach by implementing continuity editing, motion graphics, color grading, subtitles, and the integration of visual and audio elements. The results indicate that the implementation of the MDLC method contributes to improving the audiovisual communication quality of the profile video. Furthermore, the cinematic storytelling approach strengthens the institution’s visual identity through a more engaging, informative, and representative audiovisual presentation, making the profile video an effective multimedia-based promotional medium.
