Learning innovation by vice principal of curriculum at integrated Islamic high school

Abstract


Based on the functions and objectives of National Education in Law No. 20 of 2003 article 3 that schools as educational institutions that carry out formal education have an important role in realizing the implementation of national education in accordance with general provisions for organizing education based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution rooted in religious values, Indonesian national culture and responsive to the demands of changing times. Learning as a form of implementation of a curriculum must be designed taking into account the elements of novelty and adapted to developments or conditions that are developing in society. This renewal in learning can be called an innovation. So a strategy is needed in carrying out learning innovation by leadership at SMA IT Nurul 'Ilmi Jambi. This study uses a qualitative research method, a case study approach. The procedure for determining the sample is Combination purposeful sampling. Data through interview technique triangulation, observation and document collection were then analyzed through data reduction, interpretation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research, it was found that several forms of learning innovation by the vice principal in the field of curriculum at SMA IT Nurul 'Ilmi Jambi were: implementing technology-based learning, combining the national curriculum and the Integrated Islamic School Network (JSIT) curriculum, the learning methods used were interesting and currently, conducting outing classes, language strengthening programs and by implementing Blended Learning.


Abstrak

Berdasarkan fungsi dan tujuan dari Pendidikan Nasional dalam Undang-undang No.20 Tahun 2003 pasal 3 bahwa sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang melaksanakan pendidikan secara formal memiliki peran penting dalam mewujudkan pelaksanaan pendidikan nasional yang sesuai ketentuan umum untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan yang berdasarkan Pancasila dan UUD Tahun 1945 yang berakar pada nilai-nilai agama, kebudayaan nasional Indonesia dan tanggap terhadap tuntutan perubahan zaman. Pembelajaran sebagai bentuk implementasi dari sebuah kurikulum harus dirancang dengan mempertimbangkan unsur kebaruan dan disesuaikan dengan perkembangan ataupun kondisi yang sedang berkembang di tengah masyarakat. Pembaharuan dalam pembelajaran ini dapat disebut sebagai sebuah inovasi. Maka dibutuhkan strategi dalam melakukan inovasi pembelajaran oleh kepemimpinan di SMA IT Nurul ‘Ilmi Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, pendekatan studi kasus. Dengan Prosedur penentuan sampel adalah Combination purposeful sampling. Data melalui triangulasi teknik wawancara, observasi dan pengumpulan dokumen selanjutnya dianalisis melalui reduksi data, interpretasi dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapatkan hasil bahwa beberapa bentuk inovasi pembelajaran oleh wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum di SMA IT Nurul ‘Ilmi Jambi adalah: menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, mengombinasikan antara kurikulum nasional dan kurikulum Jaringan Sekolah Islam Terpadu (JSIT), metode pembelajaran yang digunakan menarik dan kekinian, melakukan outing class, program penguatan bahasa serta dengan menerapkan Blended Learning.
