Application of backward design in the implementation of curriculum management

Abstract


Curriculum is all experiences that include those obtained both from within and from outside educational institutions, which have been planned in a systematic and integrated manner, which aims to prepare students to achieve educational goals. Curriculum Management application requires the following things which is planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating which can be used in every learning activities outside the classroom, even outside the school. As a management system, curriculum must be able to work cooperatively, comprehensively, systemically and systematically in order to achievement the goals of the curriculum. Curriculum management also determines the success of achieving the goals stated in the document and implemented in the process. Backward Design is a planning process that focuses on goals with identifying desired results then determine acceptable evidence, and ending with planing learning experiences and instruction. Backward Design can not only be used in learning activities on the class but it can be use asa planning any curriculum management system, so that every step of curriculum management system and its principles can be measured and carried out in accordance with predetermined goals.


Abstrak

Kurikulum adalah semua pengalaman yang mencakup yang diperoleh baik dari dalam maupun dari luar lembaga pendidikan, yang telah direncanakan secara sistematis dan terpadu, yang bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Dalam pengaplikasian kurikulum tersebut diperlukan manajemen kurikulum yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kurikulum yang didalamnya terdapat kegiatan pengelolaan di luar kelas, bahkan di luar sekolah.Sebagai sistem pengelolaan, manajemen kurikulum harus dapat berkerja secara kooperatif, komperhensif, sistemik dan sistematik dalam rangka mewujudkan ketercapaian tujuan kurikulum. Manajemen Kurikulum ini pula sangat menentukan keberhasilan kurikulum mencapai tujuan yang telah dinyatakan dalam dokumen dan dilaksanakan dalam proses. Model Backward Design ini hadir sebagai sebuah proses perencanaan yang berfokus pada tujuan lalu mengidentifikasi hasil yang diharapkan, kemudian bergerak mundur untuk merancang kegiatan-kegiatan yang selaras dengan hasil yang telah ditentukan. Backward Design tidak hanya dapat dilakukan secara khusus dikelas dalam pembelajaran tetapi dalam jangkauan manajemen kurikulum pun dapat dilakukan, agar setiap langkah manajemen kurikulum serta prinsip nya dapat terukur dan dilakukan sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah ditentukan.
