Abstract


Sampah selalu menjadi isu utama dalam upaya pelestarian lingkungan. Jumlah sampah yang dihasilkan semakin lama semakin banyak, hal ini menyebabkan beberapa dampak yang berbahaya sehingga diperlukan solusi untuk mengatasi isu-isu yang muncul. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi dan peningkatan keterampilan bagi masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga yang dihasilkan setiap harinya. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 15 orang yang merupakan masyarakat di Jorong Tabek, Nagari Talang Babungo, Kabupaten Solok, Sumatera Barat. Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan tahap akhir. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM ini berhasil menghasilkan produk berupa ecoenzim dan kerajinan yang terbuat dari limbah plastik. Peserta sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan memiliki peningkatan dalam hal pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola sampah menjadi barang yang memiliki nilai ekonomi.

Waste has always been a major issue in environmental conservation efforts. The amount of waste produced is increasing over time, causing several harmful impacts, so that solutions are needed to overcome the issues that arise. This Community Service Activity aims to provide education and improve skills for the community in managing household waste that is generated every day. This activity was attended by 15 people who are members of the community in Jorong Tabek, Nagari Talang Babungo, Solok Regency, West Sumatra. The method applied in this activity consists of three stages, namely the preparation, implementation and final stages. The implementation of this PKM activity succeeded in producing products in the form of ecoenzymes and crafts made from plastic waste. Participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity and had an increase in knowledge and skills in managing waste into goods that have economic value.
