Abstract

Increasing global disasters due to climate change have caused severe health crises, especially for vulnerable groups like the elderly and those with chronic diseases. This study was conducted to map nursing interventions designed to enhance the resilience of vulnerable populations. This study used scoping review following Arksey and O’Malley and JBI guidelines. Analyzing 12 articles (2016–2026) from databases like PubMed, Scopus, and Cambridge core. The study identifies domains: community-based psychosocial programs, digital interventions, and chronic disease management. The findings highlight nurses' vital roles as coordinators and community mobilizers, despite challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited trained personnel, and data privacy concerns. The study concludes that integrating psychosocial support, digital technology, and community capacity building through active nursing involvement is essential for fostering sustainable resilience. These results emphasize that nursing roles must extend beyond emergency response to ensure long-term recovery and continuity of care for vulnerable populations in post-disaster settings.
