PERAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERKEMBANGAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA DINI DI DESA KEDUNG AGUNG KABUPATEN PURWOREJO

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to find out how the role of parents in the cognitive development of early childhood in the village of Kedung Agung, Benar sub-district, Purworejo district. The method in this study uses a qualitative descriptive type of research. The research subjects in this article are five families whose mothers work as bamboo handicraft makers and have early childhood and live in Kedung Agung Village, Purworejo Regency. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents involving 5 families in Kedung Agung Village, Purworejo Regency is quite good. Parents are able to act as the first teacher and facilitator for children's cognitive development. In developing children's cognitive about color parents use 3 methods, namely using color puzzles, color balls and colored geometric pieces, through this activity children's cognitive development regarding color increases and is assessed as effective.
