MODEL DESIGN-BASED RESEARCH UNTUK PENINGKATAN KEPATUHAN WCAG AA, USABILITAS, DAN LITERASI DIGITAL PADA PLATFORM E-LEARNING: STUDI KASUS LP2M BOJONEGORO
Abstract
Digital transformation has become a foundational driver for enhancing higher education services, particularly in developing an inclusive and reliable TI education website. This study employs Design-Based Research DBR with four iterative cycles to improve digital literacy, interface usability, accessibility, and student engagement in web-based TI learning through the LP2M Bojonegoro site. Data were collected using a mixed-methods approach including web analytics (unique visitors, session duration, service conversions), digital literacy and user satisfaction surveys on a Likert scale, SUS usability testing, and qualitative data from semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and task observations. Results show progressive improvements across cycles: digital self-efficacy rose from 2.8 to 4.2 on a 5-point scale; SUS scores increased from 60 to 82; task completion time decreased from 12.0 to about 6.0 minutes; user engagement per session rose from 2.9 to 5.2; WCAG AA conformance improved from 25% to 92%; and participant satisfaction rose from 3.1 to 4.6 on a 5-point scale. Qualitative findings corroborate clearer navigation, more relevant literacy content, and enhanced data privacy trust. Theoretically, the study contributes to the understanding of DBR implementation in web-based TI education contexts; practically, it offers an inclusive interface design, structured digital literacy modules, and sustainable IT policies that can be adopted by similar institutions. Major limitations include external validity given the single-institution setting, calling for replication across diverse contexts. Future research directions include replication studies, assessment of long-term TI achievement effects, and leveraging learning analytics for content personalization and more holistic evaluation.
Transformasi digital telah menjadi landasan bagi peningkatan kualitas layanan pendidikan tinggi, khususnya pada pengembangan situs edukasi TI yang inklusif dan andal. Penelitian ini menggunakan kerangka Design-Based Research DBR dengan empat siklus iteratif untuk meningkatkan literasi digital, kegunaan antarmuka, aksesibilitas, dan keterlibatan belajar TI melalui laman LP2M Bojonegoro. Data dikumpulkan secara campuran melalui analitik situs (kunjungan unik, durasi, konversi layanan), survei literasi digital dan kepuasan berbasis Likert, uji kegunaan SUS, serta data kualitatif dari wawancara, FGD, dan observasi tugas pengguna. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan bertahap dari siklus ke siklus: literasi digital self-efficacy naik dari 2.8 menjadi 4.2 pada siklus 4; skor SUS dari 60 menjadi 82; waktu penyelesaian tugas turun dari 12,0 menjadi sekitar 6,0 menit; keterlibatan sesi per pengguna meningkat dari 2.9 menjadi 5.2; kepatuhan WCAG AA meningkat dari 25% menjadi 92%; serta kepuasan peserta meningkat dari 3.1 menjadi 4.6 pada skala 1–5. Temuan kualitatif menguatkan bahwa navigasi menjadi lebih jelas, konten literasi lebih relevan, dan privasi data lebih terlindungi. Secara teoretis, studi ini memperkaya pemahaman penerapan DBR dalam konteks pendidikan TI berbasis web; secara praktis, menghadirkan desain antarmuka inklusif, modul literasi digital terstruktur, dan kebijakan TI berkelanjutan yang dapat diadopsi institusi serupa. Keterbatasan utama mencakup generalisasi temuan yang terbatas pada satu institusi dan konteks lokal, sehingga diperlukan replikasi di beragam konteks untuk validitas eksternal. Arah penelitian ke depan meliputi uji replikasi, evaluasi dampak jangka panjang terhadap prestasi TI, serta pemanfaatan analitik pembelajaran untuk personalisasi konten dan evaluasi yang lebih holistic.
