Abstract

This study examines the multivariate relationship between professional attitudes, technical competence, and work ethic in a Teaching Factory (TEFA)-based industrial practice context among fashion students. A quantitative correlational design was employed involving 120 vocational students. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale instruments and analyzed using multivariate regression and canonical correlation. The findings reveal a significant relationship (p < 0.05), with technical competence as the strongest predictor of work ethic. The integration of TEFA and employability perspectives represents the novelty of this study. The results emphasize the importance of aligning technical skills and professional attitudes to enhance students’ employability and readiness for industry. Implications highlight the need for strengthening industry-based curriculum and project-based learning approaches.
