HUBUNGAN GROWTH MINDSET DAN PENGGUNAAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE DALAM KONTEKS AKADEMIK MAHASISWA
Abstract
The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in in students’ academic activities has raised concerns regarding its impact on learning attitudes, particularly growth mindset. This study aims to analyze the relationship between students’ growth mindset in the aspect of responses to challenges and the use of AI, which has rarely been examined specifically within the context of higher education learning. This study employed a correlational quantitative method, with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The sample consisted of 81 active students from the Educational Technology Department at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation analysis indicated a positive and significant relationship between the growth mindset aspect of responses to challenges and the use of AI (r = 0.227; p < 0.05). The correlation coefficient indicates a weak relationship. These findings suggest that students’ ability to face challenges is significantly associated with the use of AI.
Meningkatnya penggunaan Artificial Intelligence dalam aktivitas akademik mahasiswa memunculkan perhatian terhadap dampaknya terhadap sikap belajar, khususnya growth mindset. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan growth mindset mahasiswa pada aspek respon terhadap tantangan dengan penggunaan AI, yang masih jarang dikaji secara spesifik pada konteks pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian meenggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner skala likert. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 81 mahasiswa aktif Teknologi Pendidikan UPI yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Hasil analisis korelasi Rank Spearman menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara growth mindset aspek respon terhadap tantangan dengan penggunaan AI(r = 0,227; p < 0,05). Nilai tersebut menunjukkan hubungan pada kategori lemah. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan berkaitan signifikan penggunaan AI.
