Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Menggunakan Book Creator Berbasis Problem Based Learning Pada Pembelajaran IPAS di Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


This research is motivated by the suboptimal use of digital technology in creating learning media at the elementary school level, even though facilities such as projectors and the internet are available. The main obstacle lies in the limited time of teachers and the lack of skills in developing digital media. Therefore, this study aims to design learning media based on the book creator application for science learning for grade IV that is valid, practical, and effective. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was carried out by three validators, namely material, language, and media experts using a questionnaire. The practicality test was carried out through teacher and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the media developed was classified as very valid with an average value of 89%. The practicality of the media was also very high with a value of 96% from teachers and 94.16% from students. The effectiveness of the media is proven through the increase in learning outcomes, namely 80.01% at SDN 20 Berok Gunung Pangilun, 83.62% at SD Pembangunan UNP, and 83.06% at SD Setia Air Tawar. Thus, the learning media using Book Creator is declared valid, practical, and effective for use in science learning in grade IV elementary schools.
