Uji Toksisitas Kadmium (CD) terhadap Survival Amphipoda Grandidierella bonnieroides

Abstract


Salah satu logam berat yang banyak mencemari perairan yaitu kadmium (Cd). Kadmium (Cd) akan terakumulasi dalam tubuh biota perairan yang pada akhirnya akan mengganggu proses metabolisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi Cd yang dapat menyebabkan kematian 50% biota uji Grandidierella bonnieroides yang dinyatakan dengan nilai LC50, NOEC (No Observed Efect Concentration), dan LOEC (Low Observed Efect Concentration). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dan rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam perlakuan berdasarkan konsentrasi Cd dan masing-masing diulang empat kali. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan pada konsentrasi 0,56 ppm, 1 ppm, dan 1,8 ppm sudah memberikan pengaruh terhadap viabilitas biota uji. Konsentrasi yang dapat menyebabkan kematian 50% dari biota uji yang dinyatakan dengan nilai LC50 yaitu sebesar 0,702 ppm. Sedangkan konsentrasi tertinggi yang tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap biota uji (NOEC) yaitu sebesar 0,32 ppm dan konsentrasi terendah yang memberikan pengaruh terhadap biota uji (LOEC) yaitu sebesar 0,56 ppm.
