Focus and Scope

Jurnal Civicus is a periodic scientific journal that published twice a year (June and December) that publishes original research results on Citizenship Education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies in the study of the science of Citizenship Education.
 
The focus and scope of Jurnal Civicus include:
  1. Citizenship Science
  2. Value and Norms Education
  3. Legal Education
  4. Political Education
  5. Classroom Action Research (Citizenship Education)
  6. Development of teaching and learning Citizenship Education (models, methods, media, sources, evaluations)
  7. Development of Citizenship Education textbooks
  8. Study of learning content on Citizenship Education
  9. Study of Citizenship Education curriculum in school
  10. Study of Citizenship Education curriculum in Higher Education

Every manuscript that goes to the editor will be assessed by the reviewer. The review process was conducted in a double-blind review, meaning that the reviewer did not know the identity of the author and so the author did not know the identity of the reviewer.

Peer Review Process

  1. The manuscript will be checked using the web check plagiarism, turnitin.com
  2. The manuscript will go through a review process.
  3. The review process uses a double-blind peer review.
  4. In the process of reviewing sustainable partners giving consideration related to novelty, scientific impact, conclusions and references used.

 

Publication Frequency

Jurnal Civicus publish twice a year every June and December.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

General Requirements

Jurnal Civicus is a scientific periodical journal that publishes the results of original studies and research on Citizenship Education.

Editor Task

  1. The editor is responsible for deciding which articles are worthy of publication through the editorial board meeting. The editor is guided by the editorial board's journal policies and is limited by applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism.
  2. In the process of receiving articles, the editor team based on the principle of equality of treatment.
  3. In the process of journal review and publication decision making (articles), the editor's team does not distinguish the race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.
  4. The editor and editorial team will not disclose any information about the manuscript or article entered except with the author's permission.
  5. Unpublished manuscripts (articles) will not be used by the editor's own research and will be returned directly to the author.

Reviewer Task

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on incoming texts/articles

  1. Reviewers are responsible for the recommendations of the article reviewed
  2. Review of the manuscript is carred out objectively, and is supported by clear arguments.
  3. Reviewers are responsible for quotes, references and plagiarism for the articles reviewed.
  4. Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of information for personal gain.

 Author Task

  1. The author must present articles of thought or research clearly, honestly, without plagiarism, and data manipulation.
  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the articles that have been written.
  3. Authors must comply with publication requirements in the form of original work, not plagiarism, and have never been published in other journals or publications.
  4. The author must show references from the opinions and works of others quoted
  5. The author must write a script or article ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with applicable scientific writing regulations.
  6. Authors are prohibited from sending/publishing the same article to more than one journal or publication.
  7. The author does not object if the experience of editing without changing the substance or main idea of writing.

 Publisher Task

  1. The Laboratory of the Citizenship Education Department and the Association of Pancasila and Citizenship Education Professionals as publishers of Jurnal Civicus are responsible for publishing articles that after going through the process of editing, peer review, layouts in accordance with the rules of the Scientific Journal publishing.
  2. The Laboratory of the Citizenship Education Department and the Association of Pancasila and Citizenship Education Professionals as publishers of Jurnal Civicus are responsible for guaranteeing academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their respective duties.
  3. The Laboratory of the Citizenship Education Department and the Association of Pancasila and Citizenship Education Professionals as publishers of Jurnal Civicus are responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, and editorial freedom.

Plagiarism Check

Every script that goes to the editorial board will be screened using turnitin screening plagiarism.

Reference Mangement

Jurnal Civicus uses Mendeley in article citation and bibliography.
