KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH, SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN, DAN FORMULASI RENCANA STRATEGIS

Rencana stratejik merupakan suatu hasil formulasi langkah-langkah strategi yang telah mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan sistem informasi manajemen terhadap formulasi rencana stratejik SMP Swasta se-kota Bandung. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena formulasi rencana stratejik yang akurat dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan sekolah. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh SMP Swasta di kota Bandung sebanyak 173 sekolah, sedangkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 67 sekolah. Pendekatan penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif melalui penyebaran angket sebagai alat pengumpul data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara statistika yang meliputi korelasi, dan path analisis. Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan bahwa peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap formulasi rencana stratejik SMP Swasta di kota Bandung dengan kategori rendah sebesar 27,2%. Selain itu, sistem informasi manajemen memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap formulasi rencana stratejik SMP Swasta di kota Bandung dengan kategori sedang sebesar 58,2%. Secara simultan, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan sistem informasi manajemen memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap formulasi rencana stratejik SMP Swasta se-kota Bandung dengan kategori tinggi sebesar 65,3%. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberikan kontribusi dalam formulasi rencana stratejik SMP Swasta se-kota Bandung di masa yang akan datang yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract
The strategic plan is the result of the strategy formulation steps which has been considering various aspects. This study aimed to analyze both the influence of the principal leadership and the use of management information system in/ implemented in private junior high schools in Bandung. This study is considered important/ significant/ essential/ vital due to the fact that an accurate formulation of strategic plans are believed to be able to improve the quality of education in the school. Among 137 private junior high schools in Bandung which are taken as the study population, 67 schools become the sample study. The approach of this study is quantitative approach. In addition, this study also employs a descriptive method making use of questionnaire as the data collection tool. All the data obtained were analyzed statistically covering the correlation and path analysis. Based on data analysis, it was found that the role of the principal leadership gives a positive and significant influence towards the formulation of strategic plans in private secondary schools in Bandung with low category of 27.2%. Besides, the use of management information system gives a positive and significant influence on the formulation of strategic plans in private secondary schools in Bandung with a medium category by 58.2%. Simultaneously, the role of the leadership of the principal and the use of management information system gives a positive and significant influence on the formulation of strategic plans in private secondary schools in Bandung with a high category of 65.3%. The results of this study are expected to contribute in the future formulation of strategic plans in private secondary schools in Bandung so that the quality of education can be improved.
