STRATEGI PENINGKATAN MUTU PENDIDIKAN PADA PROGRAM STUDI LANGKA PEMINAT DI PTAIN Improving the quality, study program with low registries, PTAIN.

Abstract


Problem utama yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan pada program studi langka peminat di PTAIN. Atas dasar masalah tersebut, maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Pemahaman terhadap realitas program studi langka peminat di PTAIN dan factor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, 2) Mutu program studi langka peminat di PTAIN dan factor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, 3) Strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan pada program studi langka peminat di PTAIN. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan latar penelitian adalah prodi Aqidah Filsafat di UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, IAIN Walisongo Semarang dan STAIN Surakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa:1) Pemahaman stakeholders terhadap realitas kelangkaan peminat pada program studi langka peminat di PTAIN adalah prodi ini krisis input, ada pemahaman yang salah dari masyarakat tentang prodi AF, ketidakjeasan lapangan pekerjaan bagi lulusan AF; 2) Mutu proses pendidikan relatif memenuhi kepuasan pelanggan. Permasalahan mutu prodi AF terletak pada mutu input dan mutu outputnya; 3) Strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan dititikberatkan pada peningkatan Relevancy dan Sustainability yang selama ini menjadi problem pokok pada prodi Aqidah Filsafat. Rekomendasi bagi Pengelola PTAIN, Diktis atau Kemenag,peneliti selanjutnya perlu melakukan ujicoba strategi hipotetik ini bagi prodi langka peminat di lingkungan PTAIN (UIN, IAIN, STAIN) yang lain.

 

The main problem of this research is how the strategy of improving the quality of education in study program with low registries in PTAIN. This research studies the strategy of improving the quality of education in study program with low registries to know: 1) the understanding toward the reality of study program with low registries in PTAIN and factors influencing it, 2) the quality of study program with low registries in PTAIN and factors influencing it, 3) The strategy of improving the quality of education in study program with low registries in PTAIN.The approach used is qualitative and the setting of research is Aqidah Filsafat study program in UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, IAIN Walisongo Semarang, and STAIN Surakarta.The result of the research can be concluded as follows: 1) the understanding of stakeholders toward the reality of study program with low registries in PTAIN and factors influencing it as follows: the crisis of input, false understanding of society about AF study program, unclear opportunities of employment for the graduates; 2)the quality of education process relatively fulfils customer satisfaction. The problem of the quality of AF study program is the quality of its input and output. 3) The strategy focuses on the improvement of Relevancy and Sustainability which becomes the main problem in AF study program.The recommendation for the managers of PTAIN, Diktis or Kemenag, and the next researchers is conducting try-out of the finding of this strategy in study program with low registries in other PTAIN (UIN, IAIN, STAIN).
