INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP IN SCHOOLS: A BIBLIOMETRIC EXPLORATION OF KEY THEMES AND RESEARCH MAP

Abstract


This bibliometric study explores the research landscape of instructional leadership in schools from 2014 to 2024, utilizing data from the Scopus database. Through a systematic analysis of 566 documents, the study identifies key trends, influential authors, and productive countries, highlighting the field's growing academic interest. The study also conducts a co-occurrence analysis using VOSviewer, revealing central themes such as leadership roles, teacher efficacy, professional development, and school climate. The findings illustrate the diverse and interconnected nature of instructional leadership research, emphasizing its significance in educational practice. The study's results provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual structure and thematic evolution in this field, offering insights into established and emerging trends. This analysis not only maps the current state of research but also identifies gaps and potential areas for future study, contributing valuable knowledge to guide both researchers and practitioners in the domain of educational leadership.
