The Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) Model Assisted by Question Cards on Students' Critical Thinking Skills in the Material of Work and Energy

Abstract


This research was motivated by the low critical thinking skills at SMA Negeri 1 Cineam which were classified as very low. This research aims to determine the effect of the Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) model assisted by question cards on students' critical thinking skills on work and energy material.  The research method used was quasi-experimental with a matched-only posttest-only control group design. The population of this study was all 8 classes of class X SMA Negeri 1 Cineam with a total of 267 students. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. To measure students' critical thinking skills, this is done by giving a test in the form of a description of 9 questions. The results of hypothesis testing using the t show that  namely  is rejected and  is accepted so that the Means-Ends Analysis (MEA) model assisted by question cards has an effect on students' critical thinking skills in work and energy material in class.
