Development of a Practical Pocketbook Based on PjBL to Improve Understanding of Fluid Dynamics Concepts in Class XI

Abstract


The implementation of practical activities in physics education in schools is still not running optimally. One contributing factor is the inadequate and ineffective use of practical guidelines by teachers, which should aim to enhance the learning process and improve the overall quality of education. This problem is evident in the use of textbooks and student worksheets (LKPD) that fail to engage students in practical activities. This study aims to develop a Pocket Practical Book based on Project-Based Learning (PBBP) using the Book Creator application and evaluate the feasibility of this media and student responses to it. The media development was carried out using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects in this media trial were 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 11 Kupang. The validation results from experts showed that the media was categorized as "very feasible," while student responses to its use were classified as "very good." Based on the overall assessment, this Pocket Practical Book is considered suitable for implementation in project-based physics learning at the secondary school level.
