Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to ATIKANOTO must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The journal focuses on automotive engineering education, particularly in the context of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and higher education.

Authors must prepare their manuscripts in clear academic English using the official journal template. Submissions may include research articles, review articles, or case studies related to automotive engineering education, such as curriculum development, instructional strategies, learning media, assessment and evaluation, teacher competence, and industry-based learning.

The manuscript should be structured as follows: Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Abstract (150–250 words), Keywords (3–5 keywords), Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References. The manuscript length should be between 1,500 and 5,000 words.

All references must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style and should include at least 15–25 references, with a majority from recent and reputable international journals. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.

Tables and figures must be clearly labeled, numbered, and integrated within the text. Images must be of high quality and include appropriate captions. Any reused material must be properly cited.

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format through the online submission system. All submissions must comply with ethical standards, including a maximum similarity index of 20% (excluding references).

Before submission, authors must ensure that:
(1) the manuscript follows the official template,
(2) the topic aligns with the journal scope,
(3) all required sections are complete,
(4) references are properly formatted, and
(5) the manuscript has been proofread.

Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors without review.

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
