Peta Riset Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Terhadap Keterampilan Generik Sains (KGS) di Sekolah Dasar: Analisis Bibliometrik 2015–2025

Anna Maria Oktaviani

Abstract

This study aims to map research trends on the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in developing Generic Science Skills (KGS) in elementary schools during the period 2015–2025. The approach used is bibliometric analysis, with data obtained from Google Scholar and Dimension.ai using the Publish or Perish (POP) software, and analyzed through VOSviewer. The number of publications included in this analysis was 120 papers from the publication period 2015 to 2025 filtered using the PRISMA technique. This research analysis includes quantitative number trends in several types and aspects as well as visual mapping. The analysis results indicate a significant increase in publications up to 2023, followed by a decline in 2024 and 2025. Most publications were found in the form of edited books, followed by articles and book chapters. The most dominant keywords include “Based Learning (PBL),” “skill,” and “project.” Network visualization reveals seven main clusters reflecting research focuses such as science education, critical thinking, and scientific literacy. These findings affirm that PBL is a widely studied approach due to its effectiveness in enhancing KGS among elementary students. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the research landscape, key publication sources, and potential directions for future research development.
