Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Permainan Ular Tangga Kuliner Banten Pada Materi Pecahan Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


Mathematics learning in primary schools is often considered difficult and boring by students, especially on fraction materials that require conceptual understanding and numeracy skills. One of the reasons is the limitation of interesting and contextualised learning media. In fact, the integration of local culture in learning media can be a solution to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the classroom. This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a snakes and ladders game integrated with typical Banten culinary in the material of fractions in fifth-grade of elementary school. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The development results in the form of learning tools such as lesson plans, teaching materials, and game media were developed based on needs analysis and identification of fraction learning problems and the potential of Banten's typical culinary treasures. The resulting products were declared feasible based on expert validation and field trials. The media proved to be practical and able to increase students' active participation, create a fun learning atmosphere, and facilitate understanding of fraction concepts for five graders of elementary school. Thus, this game media is effectively used as an innovative alternative in local culture-based mathematics learning and can support teachers' efforts in creating more enjoyable learning
