PENJAMINAN MUTU PERGURUAN TINGGI MELALUI AKREDITASI: SEBUAH SCOPING REVIEW
Abstract
Quality assurance (QA) and accreditation are crucial for higher education service quality and institutional accountability. Accreditation, as a key external QA instrument, is a significant focus for universities, especially in Asia. Low SPMI data submission (24.7% in February 2022) and difficulty achieving high accreditation ranks indicate a quality gap in Indonesian PT. This prompted Dirjen Diktiristek to launch an SPMI assistance program.
This scoping review aims to map literature on PT QA via accreditation, identifying concepts, factors, challenges, and recommendations from Asian contexts. Using a Scoping Review framework and Google Scholar (2017-2024), findings show accreditation acts as both external validation and internal improvement driver. Success depends on leadership commitment, HR competence, effective SPMI, and reliable data. Challenges include SPMI gaps, limited resources, compliance-driven orientation, and data issues. Accreditation thus catalyzes continuous innovation and improvement.
Penjaminan mutu (PM) dan akreditasi sangat penting dalam pendidikan tinggi untuk kualitas layanan dan akuntabilitas institusi. Rendahnya pengisian data SPMI (24,7% pada Februari 2022) dan sulitnya PT meraih akreditasi tinggi menunjukkan kesenjangan mutu, mendorong program pendampingan. Scoping review ini bertujuan memetakan literatur terkait PM PT melalui akreditasi, mengidentifikasi konsep, faktor, tantangan, dan rekomendasi dari konteks Asia. Menggunakan kerangka Scoping Review dan Google Scholar (2017-2024) , hasilnya menunjukkan akreditasi berperan sebagai validasi eksternal dan pendorong perbaikan internal. Keberhasilan bergantung pada komitmen pimpinan, kompetensi SDM, SPMI efektif, dan data andal. Tantangan meliputi kesenjangan SPMI, sumber daya terbatas, orientasi kepatuhan, dan masalah data. Akreditasi mengkatalisasi inovasi dan perbaikan berkelanjutan.
