PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN MELALUI MEDIA ANIMASI: STUDI PENGEMBANGAN PEMBELAJARAN PROSES DAN STRUKTUR TEKSTIL
Abstract
The digital revolution in education demands the integration of learning media that are not only engaging but also capable of delivering content in a visual and interactive manner. However, many students still face challenges in understanding the fundamental concepts of fabric formation, particularly in the context of knitted and woven textiles. This study aims to develop an educational animation-based learning medium to enhance students’ comprehension in the Textile Science course. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting development models from Borg and Gall,
Dick and Carey, and Hannafin and Peck. The study involved students from the Fashion Education program. Research instruments included validation questionnaires, observation
sheets, and comprehension tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods, along with inferential statistical analysis. The findings indicate that the developed animation media is feasible for instructional use and has the potential to improve both student understanding and learning interest regarding fabric formation processes. The study concludes that educational animation serves as an effective solution to overcome limitations in conventional textile education.
