MODEL DAKWAH TRANSKULTURAL BERBASIS GLOKALISASI DALAM MENGHADAPI TANTANGAN GLOBALISASI: STUDI KASUS MASJID LAUTZE 2 BANDUNG
Abstract
This study examines a glocalization-based transcultural da’wah model at the Masjid Lautze 2 Bandung within the vortex of globalization that is reshaping contemporary religious spaces. Using a qualitative approach and case study methods, digital observation, and phenomenological analysis, this study finds that da’wah at Masjid Lautze 2 Bandung occurs adaptively, inclusively, and dialogically through the integration of Islamic values with Chinese culture. This process creates a hybrid identity among converts, where religion and culture are not mutually exclusive but intertwined in a space of negotiation of meaning. Da’wah has also expanded into the digital realm in response to the mediatization of religion, while simultaneously addressing global challenges such as Islamophobia, religious disinformation, identity crises, and limited digital literacy. This study concludes that the Glocalized Transcultural Da’wah Model represents da’wah as a dynamic process connecting religion, culture, identity, and technology, making da’wah not merely a transmission of values but also an arena for the formation of meaning and identity that is contextual, fluid, and transnational.
