STRES PADA MAHASISWA SELAMA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has created a policy of maintaining physical and social distancing. The lifestyle changes caused by the Covid-19 pandemic have the potential to cause stress to students. The aim of this study is to determine the level stress of college students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Data were obtained using the DASS-21 instrument. The research respondents were 520 students from 11 different faculties at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The results showed as many as 448 students (86 percent) experienced stress in the normal category, 62 students (12 percent) experienced mild stress, and 10 students (2 percent) were under moderate stress. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that most of the students or 448 students (86 percent) experienced normal stress due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pandemi Covid-19 membuat adanya kebijakan menjaga jarak fisik dan pembatasan sosial. Perubahan gaya hidup yang disebabkan oleh pandemi Covid-19 berpotensi menimbulkan stres pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat stres pada mahasiswa selama pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen DASS-21. Responden penelitian sebanyak 520 mahasiswa yang berasal dari 11 fakultas yang berbeda di Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 448 mahasiswa (86 persen) mengalami stres dalam kategori normal, 62 mahasiswa (12 persen) mengalami stres ringan, dan 10 mahasiswa (2 persen) berada dalam kondisi stres sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa atau 448 mahasiswa (86 persen) mengalami stres yang normal akibat adanya pandemi Covid-19.
