ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ LEARNING OUTCOMES IN GTAW 1G WELDING PRACTICE THROUGH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PJBL) RUNSHEET AT SMK NEGERI 1 CILEGON
Abstract
Based on the initial identification conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Cilegon, there was no available Runsheet used as a welding practice guide integrated with the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). This condition encouraged the implementation of a Runsheet based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) in welding practice learning. This study aimed to analyze students’ learning outcomes in GTAW 1G welding practice through the implementation of a PjBL-based Runsheet. This study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One-Shot Case Study design. The participants consisted of 35 students from class XII Welding Engineering 2 at SMK Negeri 1 Cilegon. Data were collected through a learning achievement test and practical performance assessment. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and followed by the Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test and One Sample t-Test using the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) score of 75 as the reference value. The results showed that the students’ average learning outcome score was 82.14, with the highest score of 91 and the lowest score of 75. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed (Sig. = 0.198 > 0.05). The One Sample t-Test result showed tcount = 9.572 > ttable = 1.691, indicating that the average student learning outcomes exceeded the established MMC. The implementation of a PjBL-based Runsheet supported a more structured learning process in GTAW 1G welding practice.
