Emotikon Aplikasi Whatsapp sebagai Representasi Literasi Emosi Peserta Didik Sekolah Dasar

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi literasi yang termuat dalam pengiriman emotikonaplikasi WhatsApp. Hal ini dilakukan karena terbatasnya literatur aspek literasi emosi yang dikaitkan dengan emotikon/emoji. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena banyak sekali multitafsir dalam penggunaan emotikon sebagai bentuk lain dari emosi secara fisik.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dengan metode analisis konten dan pendekatan kualitatif. Setiap manusia memiliki aspek emosi dasar semenjak dilahirkan terutama bagi peserta didik sekolah dasar, salah satu cara untuk mengelola emosi dengan mempunyai literasi emosi. Literasi emosi memiliki 5 aspek diantaranya, mengetahui perasaan diri, kemampuan untuk mengakui emosi, kemampuan untuk berempati, kemampuan untuk mengatasi dan memperbaiki kersuakan emosi, dan kemampuan untuk memahami dunia dalam konteks sosial. Emotikon sebagai salah satu bentuk gambar digital berbentuk wajah yang memiliki disain bermacam-macam dan juga dapat dikaitkan dengan emosi serta literasi emosi. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa emotikon aplikasi WhatsApp sudah mencangkup aspek literasi emosi dilihat dari percakapan peserta didik saat menggunakan Aplikasi WhatsApp.
