Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of John Dewey’s Correlation Theory with tauhidic epistemology in developing an Islamic education curriculum model. Using a philosophical and library research approach, this study identifies the research gap between Dewey’s thought and tauhid-based epistemology in Islamic education. The findings indicate that the integration of these two theories produces a curriculum model that bridges secular knowledge with religious values, eliminating the dichotomy between them, and emphasizes experiential, reflective learning based on moral values. The practical contribution of this study is the development of an interdisciplinary curriculum model that links science with Islamic principles, strengthening Islamic education in facing globalization challenges and shaping individuals who are knowledgeable, virtuous, and socially responsible.
