The role of YouTube platform as a learning resource in online learning effectiveness

Abstract


The COVID-19 disaster has had a negative impact on human life, one of the most crucial things being faced by the current generation is in the world of education. This study aims to find out how the role and implementation as well as the obstacles that arise in using YouTube as a learning resource in supporting the effectiveness of learning based on students' perceptions or views. The research uses quantitative methods with primary data sources and data collection using survey activities or questionnaires involving high school students and active students as respondents. Then the scale used in this study using the Likert scale. The results showed that most of the respondents agreed that the use of YouTube to be used as a learning resource or an effective learning media was courageous, although there were still some obstacles experienced in practice. So, it can be said that the YouTube platform has a positive impact on the effectiveness of bold learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, with this research, it is hoped that technology for education can develop well so that it will be useful in the future.
