Analisis Hubungan antara Social Support dan Career Choice: Peran Mediasi Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy dan Career Exploration pada Mahasiswa Generasi Z Tingkat Akhir

Abstract


Revolusi Industri 4.0 menuntut individu untuk menentukan pilihan karier secara lebih matang agar dapat beradaptasi dengan dinamika pasar tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh social support terhadap career choice dengan career decision-making self-efficacy dan career exploration sebagai variabel pemediasi pada mahasiswa Generasi Z tingkat akhir di Sumatera Barat. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode non probability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 140 responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner online dan diolah menggunakan software SmartPLS 4. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) social support secara langsung tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap career choice, (2) social support berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career decision-making self-efficacy, (3) career decision-making self-efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career choice, (4) career decision-making self-efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan dalam memediasi hubungan antara social support dan career choice, (5) social support berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap career exploration, (6) career exploration tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap career choice, (7) mediasi career exploration tidak signifikan pada pengaruh social support terhadap career choice
