Pengaruh Academic Self-Efficacy terhadap Learning Engagement dengan Professional Commitment sebagai Variabel Mediasi pada Mahasiswa Manajemen

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh academic self-efficacy terhadap learning engagement serta menguji peran professional commitment sebagai variabel mediasi pada mahasiswa Manajemen Universitas Negeri Padang. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, data dikumpulkan dari 107 responden mahasiswa melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) academic self-efficacy tidak berpengaruh langsung secara signifikan terhadap learning engagement, (2) academic self-efficacy berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap professional commitment, (3) professional commitment berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap learning engagement dan (4) pengaruh tidak langsung academic self-efficacy terhadap learning engagement melalui professional commitment terbukti positif dan signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa professional commitment berperan sebagai mediator penuh (full mediation) dalam hubungan antara academic self-efficacy dan learning engagement.
