Hubungan Fear Of Negative Evaluation dengan Kecemasan Akademik Pada Mahasiswa Psikologi Universitas Negeri Padang

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara fear of negative evaluation dengan kecemasan akademik pada mahasiswa Departemen Psikologi Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 67 mahasiswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan skala fear of negative evaluation dan skala kecemasan akademik, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara fear of negative evaluation dengan kecemasan akademik (r = 0,659; p = 0,001). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi ketakutan mahasiswa terhadap penilaian negatif, semakin tinggi pula kecemasan akademik yang dirasakan. Sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi pada kedua variabel. Dengan demikian, fear of negative evaluation merupakan salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kecemasan akademik mahasiswa.
