Pengaruh Work Life Balance dan Pengembangan Karir Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Dengan Job Satisfaction Sebagai Variabel Mediasi (Studi Pada Karyawan Gen Z Minimarket Di Surakarta)
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh work life balance dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan job satisfaction sebagai variabel mediasi pada karyawan Generasi Z minimarket di Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bersifat explanatory dengan teknik purposive sampling terhadap 100 responden. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert lima poin dan dianalisis menggunakan SEM-PLS berbantuan SmartPLS untuk menguji hubungan langsung dan tidak langsung antarvariabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa work life balance berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (β = 0,373; p = 0,000). Pengembangan karir berpengaruh positif namun relatif lemah dan borderline signifikan terhadap kinerja (β = 0,180; p = 0,049). Job satisfaction terbukti sebagai prediktor terkuat yang berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja (β = 0,426; p = 0,001). Namun demikian, job satisfaction tidak terbukti memediasi pengaruh work life balance maupun pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja karena efek tidak langsung keduanya tidak signifikan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan keseimbangan kerja dan peningkatan kepuasan kerja dalam mendorong kinerja karyawan Gen Z di sektor ritel.
