FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KINERJA MENGAJAR GURU SEKOLAH DASAR
Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kenyataan bahwa para guru sekolah dasar yang mengajar di Priangan Timur masih dalam kondisi rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mempelajari pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, iklim sekolah, kepuasan kerja, dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru sekolah dasar di Wilayah Priangan Timur Provinsi Jawa Barat. Populasi penelitian adalah guru SD Schooh di wilayah Priangan Timur. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Cluster Random Sampling. Metode penelitian adalah survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) kepemimpinan utama, motivasi berprestasi, dan kinerja guru dalam kondisi tengah; Sedangkan iklim sekolah dan kepuasan kerja dalam kondisi baik; (2) Ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, iklim sekolah, kepuasan kerja dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Priangan Timur, walaupun secara subyektif atau simultan. Rekomendasi yang diusulkan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) diperlukan pengembangan kepemimpinan utama melalui kompetensi berbasis proses rekrutmen, peningkatan proses pelatihan dan pendidikan, dan penilaian kinerja; (2) diperlukan pengembangan motivasi berprestasi melalui pengelolaan kinerja penggerak jalan, penghargaan, dan insentif, pengelolaan fasilitasi sekolah, dan pengelolaan keselamatan lingkungan sekolah; (3) demi pengembangan ilmiah, penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan.
The background of the research is the fact that The Elementary School teachers teaching performance in East Priangan still in low conditions. The goal of the research is to analyze and study of the influence of principal leadership, school climate, job satisfaction, and achievement motivation to the elementary school teacher performance in East Priangan Area Jawa Barat Province. The population of the research is the Elementary Schooh teachers of East Priangan Area. Sampling tchnique used is Cluster Random Sampling. The method of the research is survey with quantitative approach and path analysis. The result of the research are as follow: (1) principal leadership, achievement motivation, and teacher performance are in middle condition; whereas school climate and job satisfaction are in good condition; (2) there is a positive and significant influence of the principal leadership, school climate, job satisfaction and achievement motivation to Elementary School teachers teaching performance in East Priangan Area, even though pactially or simultanously. Recommendation proposed from the research are: (1) there is needed to develop the principal leadership through recruitment process based competences, improving training and education process, and performance appraisal; (2) it is needed to develop achievement motivation through managing path carier, reward, and incentive system based performance, managing school facilitation, and managing school environment safety; (3) for the sake of scientific development, further research needs to be done.
