DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL MODULES FOR ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE TECHNOLOGY IN VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS (SMK)
Abstract
The development of electric vehicle technology requires competent human resources in the automotive field; however, learning activities in Vocational High Schools (SMK), particularly in Motorcycle Engineering programs, are still dominated by conventional motorcycle technology, resulting in limited learning materials related to electric motorcycles. This study aims to develop a digital module on electric motorcycle technology as a supporting learning material for vocational education. This research employed a Research and Development approach using the 4D model, which consists of define, design, development, and disseminate stages. The define stage involved analyzing learning needs and student characteristics. The design stage focused on structuring the content and visual layout of the digital module. The development stage included module creation and validation by subject matter experts and media experts, while the disseminate stage was conducted through limited trials and the collection of user responses. Research instruments consisted of expert validation sheets and user response questionnaires, and the data were analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the developed digital module achieved a feasible to very feasible category based on expert evaluations and received positive responses from users. Therefore, the digital module on electric motorcycle technology is suitable for use as a supporting learning material in vocational high schools and is relevant to the current development of automotive electric technology, contributing to the improvement of vocational learning quality.
Perkembangan teknologi kendaraan listrik menuntut kesiapan sumber daya manusia di bidang otomotif, sementara pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Sepeda Motor masih didominasi materi sepeda motor konvensional sehingga bahan ajar teknologi sepeda motor listrik terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul digital teknologi sepeda motor listrik sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pembelajaran di SMK. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D yang meliputi tahap define, design, development, dan disseminate. Tahap define dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan pembelajaran dan karakteristik murid, tahap design melalui perancangan struktur serta tampilan modul digital, tahap development melalui pengembangan modul disertai validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, sedangkan tahap disseminate dilakukan melalui uji coba terbatas dan pengumpulan respon pengguna. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli dan angket respon pengguna, sedangkan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan modul digital yang dikembangkan memperoleh kategori layak hingga sangat layak berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media serta mendapatkan respon positif dari pengguna. Dengan demikian, modul digital teknologi sepeda motor listrik layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pendukung pembelajaran di SMK dan relevan dengan perkembangan teknologi otomotif. Pengembangan ini diharapkan mendukung kesiapan lulusan SMK menghadapi kebutuhan industri otomotif listrik nasional dan global secara berkelanjutan serta peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran vokasi kejuruan.
