Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional Terhadap Kesulitan Pengambilan Keputusan Karir Dengan Efikasi Diri Sebagai Mediasi Pada Mahasiswa Akhir Program Studi S1 Manajemen FEB UNP

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir dengan efikasi diri sebagai variabel mediasi pada mahasiswa akhir Program Studi S1 Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, dimana data dikumpulkan dari 149 responden melalui penyebaran kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir, (2) kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap efikasi diri, (3) efikasi diri berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir, serta (4) efikasi diri mampu memediasi secara parsial (partial mediation) pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karir. Penelitian ini didukung oleh Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) yang menjelaskan bahwa perilaku individu terbentuk melalui interaksi timbal balik antara faktor personal, perilaku, dan lingkungan. Dalam konteks penelitian ini, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengenali dan mengelola emosi dapat meningkatkan keyakinan terhadap kemampuan dirinya, sehingga mahasiswa lebih mampu mengevaluasi berbagai alternatif karir secara rasional serta mengurangi kebingungan, keraguan, dan kesulitan dalam mengambil keputusan karir.
