Pengembangan dan Validasi Model Karier Kognitif Sosial Kewirausahaan: Studi Psikometrik di Perguruan Tinggi Indonesia

Keterbatasan teori pemilihan karier konvensional dalam menjelaskan keputusan karier kewirausahaan pada konteks budaya kolektivistik menegaskan urgensi pengembangan kerangka berbasis konteks yang memiliki validitas lintas budaya yang lebih kuat. Untuk menjawab kesenjangan tersebut, penelitian ini mengembangkan dan memvalidasi Entrepreneurial Social Cognitive Career Model (ESCCM) melalui pengujian psikometrik yang komprehensif pada konteks pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia. Pendekatan kuantitatif diterapkan dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling terhadap 1.249 mahasiswa dari 16 perguruan tinggi, dengan pengumpulan data selama sepuluh minggu melalui kuesioner terstruktur yang disusun berdasarkan indikator variabel dalam ESCCM. Validasi model dilakukan melalui analisis Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) untuk menilai kualitas komponen pengukuran dan struktural. Proses validasi mencakup pemeriksaan validitas konvergen, diskriminan, dan nomologis, serta konsistensi internal dan akurasi prediktif sesuai standar psikometrik yang ketat. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ESCCM merupakan kerangka konseptual yang reliabel, berlandaskan teori yang kuat, dan sensitif terhadap dinamika kontemporer, khususnya dalam konteks kolektivistik. Model ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai mekanisme pembentukan karier kewirausahaan mahasiswa serta secara substansial menjawab berbagai keterbatasan yang melekat pada teori pengembangan karier sebelumnya.
